ABOUT RICHIE
Richie Joyce writes so that he may forget, and in order for him to always remember. The art of storytelling brings relief and purpose in facing the challenges of dyslexia and chronic nerve pain in his head and neck, stemming from a bout of shingles. Inspired by his two childhood passions of Christmas and the Victorian era (yes, it is true that he had a childhood crush on Prince Albert, and has never truly grown out of it), he remains devoted to both. The first by way of embodying the ethos; that it’s not the Christmas things you do at Christmastime that count, but the Christmas things you do all year through. The second by dedicating himself to restoring his Victorian home, which he shares with a long suffering partner and an array of Victoriana (which said partner would gladly throw in the bin).
